Ashley Wool was born in Mount Vernon, New York. She grew up in Westchester County and attended Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, New York. She then attended the State University of New York at Geneseo where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in musical theatre and was one of five students in the musical theatre major's inaugural class. While attending college at Geneseo she recorded an independent EP, Not Otherwise Specified, and performed her original music at various school events. She turned her focus to acting after graduating college and has performed in theatrical productions in New York City and regionally. She returned to music officially in 2020 with the release of her singles "Half of My Life" and "Automatoronic," a rerecording of a track from her first album. Read more on Last.fm.
