"BOWIE" was the name David Bowie (Real name David Robert Jones) used in 1974, It started with the 'Pin ups' LP in 1973 but this was still credited on the labels as David Bowie despite only saying 'Bowie - Pin Ups' on the front of the sleeve. In 1974 the singles 'Rebel Rebel' (UK & US), 'Diamond Dogs' (UK), 'Rock n Roll Suicide" (UK), '1984' (US), Knock On Wood (UK), Rock n Roll With Me (US) & the LP Diamond Dogs were all just credited "Bowie" as the artist. In November 1975 the UK single 'Golden Years' also come out with just a "Bowie" credit as the artist, but this was a mistake by RCA as he had reverted back to "David Bowie by then.
