Pagan/Viking/black metal band hailing from Germany. Founded in 2002 under the name "Dol Guldur", renamed as "Skjaldborg" since 2008. The band took its name from an Old Norse word that translates into "wall of shields", a military tactic that was common in many cultures in the Pre-Early Modern warfare age. Skjaldborg currently has only one active band member, Stefan Maier a.k.a. Virus who do all instruments and vocals since 2008. He is Austrian. Read more on Last.fm.
