The Salteens is an indie band formed in Vancouver, BC in 2000. The original line-up has changed over the years, with the constant being the band's leader, Scott Walker.

The Salteens released Short-Term Memories in 2000 and toured Canada, the USA, Australia and Japan extensively. Walker and ex-Salteens member Rob Calder started up Boompa Records in 2003 to release the second Salteens album, Let Go of Your Bad Days, the same year.

Busy with the label, the Salteens remained silent over the next several years with the exception of their involvement with TV's Yo Gabba Gabba.

In 2010 the Salteens broke their silence with the spring release of the Moths EP. In early September the Salteens went on tour with Yo Gabba Gabba Live! and released a collection of children's songs titled Kid Songs.

The Salteens released their first lp in 7 years on October 12, 2010. Released under Walker's own Boompa Records, Grey Eyes has been described by critics as a "masterpiece" (AllMusic) with "incomparable Spector/Bacharach/Wilson-esque melodies" (Vancouver Sun).

Current Lineup: Scott Walker (vocals, guitar, piano); Carrie Tennant (vocals, piano, clarinet); Kevin Cooper (bass, vocals); Dion Willis (drums, vocals); Alison Gorman (trumpet, baritone, flugelhorn); Bryan Milks (tenor sax, clarinet, bass clarinet); Tim Sars (bari sax); Carol Dymond (flute); Al Cannon (trumpet); Read more on Last.fm.
