Emu Stampede is an avantgarde band originally from Gilroy, CA and now based in San Jose, CA. Composer, vocalist, and programmer Austin Brown, along with guest guitarist Daniel Chavez and guest vocalist and composer Jamison Debold play whatever the song requires at that moment, and sometimes they let on other random guest artists. Emu Stampede's music has been described as "noise" and "wtf is this awesome I am listening to", leaving musical eavesdroppers to wonder of the listener's sanity.
Emu Stampede was originally formed by Brown to create a response album (about five minutes long) to badVer's "SoUNDS OF NATURE", doing similar songs that range from 10 to 30 seconds in length.
Emu Stampede has released five albums since their start in late 2006: "The Emus Feed Tonight", "Trampled by Smelly Emu Feet", "Emus Rip You to Shreds", "Emus Rip Your CD TO Shreds" and the latest and longest to date, "Emus Hate Your Family". And currently in production is the next super-long strange-fest entitled "Extreme Emu Lunch YEAAH!!" Essentially, if none of these releases don't challenge your sanity, ears, or capability of physically withstanding the idea of anti-music, than Austin Brown hasn't done his job. Read more on Last.fm.
