Their debut full length Silver Tongued Life Licker is a human tale and social summary, STLL shows all shades of a black and white rainbow.

Throughout the record you will hear guest vocal appearances from Atom Simpson (A Death In The Family) Brett O’Riley (Black Level Embassy), Brett Davis (Love Like Electrocution), Izzy Rayson (Robotosaurus), Carla Lippis (Solo performer/amazer) and a guest guitar feature by Alex Fimeri (Robotosaurus).

Album number two for Adelaide/Melbourne band COERCE was released in June 2011.
The follow up to their 2009 debut ‘Silver Tongued Life Licker’ was recorded and produced by guitarist/songwriter Mike Deslandes at his Adelaide based studio Capitalsound, Adelaide.
Bob Weston (Shellac) has taken on the mastering duties at Chicago Mastering.
Titled “Ethereal Surrogate Saviour” the first track off the new record “Rain Parade” is available online May 16.

Coerce was formed in Deal, Kent in 1999.

They first learned cover songs of the artists they most admired and soon had a run of gigs in their local area. They then moved in the same creative direction which led to their first recording, “Caught Inbetween”.

The self recorded and produced five track demo was showcased at some of Kent’s most popular venues including “The Leas Cliff Hall” and Dartford’s “Mick Jagger Center”.

Their second effort “Thailand Dreams” followed with a good selection of original material. They toured the country, performing to larger crowds in venues such as “The Cavern Club” in Liverpool and “The Old Angel” in Nottingham.

With a growing fan base, appearances at festivals and the name continuing to spread they began to receive encouraging feedback from industry insiders and media types alike.

“Every Thinking Moment” was released in 2005. Another self produced recording but with a more intense sound. The three track EP was largely distributed across the country with impressive reviews and promising write ups.

Shows at the “Highbury Garage” and the “Camden Underworld” soon followed and they continued to promote and gig their material simultaneously.

This release caught the eye of “Judas Priest”, “Thin Lizzy” and “Black Sabbath” producer, Chris Tsangarides, who then recorded their latest four track EP, self titled “Coerce”. Whilst retaining the energy and flow of our previous recordings, they now have a professional recording that defines the sound they have been striving for and also portrays a glimpse of their future potential.

This is the type of band and music that makes you want to jump up on the nearest table and rip off a huge solo on your favorite flying v air guitar…raaaar…. This is melodic heavy metal played as it should be and really needs to be.

James Bianchi – Dover Soul Media

This is one of the better demos I’ve heard this year. Kerrang will love ‘em.

Drumhead, Unsigned Central

The guitar work is exquisite and the lyrics actually touch something important.
