Gang Forward is an up and coming rock band from Denver, CO. Their music is an amalgam of heavy riffs, ethereal melodies, and hard dynamics geared towards lifting every hair on the back of your neck.


Gang Forward was formed in March 2009 by guitarist and vocalist, Aaron Cooley, and bassist, Ian McKittrick, but solidified their sound as a band when drummer, Tyson Williams, joined in February 2010. Since then, the trio has awakened the local music scene to an exciting breath of fresh air with three new releases from their upcoming album and many incredible shows throughout the greater Denver area.

Aaron Cooley's intriguing blend of anthemic hard-rock guitar riffs and soaring vocals set the tone for a unique and commanding sound. His father, the renowned Bill Cooley, is his main influence along with Tom Morello, Dave Grohl, Matthew Bellamy, Steve Lukather, and Larry Carlton.

Ian McKittrick plays steady, powerful, bass lines which magnify the precision, technicality and tone of Gang Forward's music. He is influenced by the bassists from Muse, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rage against the Machine.

Accompanying McKittrick, is the controlled chaos and bombastic style of drumming from Tyson Williams. Influences such as Incubus, Dave Matthews Band and Audioslave are easily recognized upon earth-shattering down-beats and epiphanic crescendos releasing a tidal wave of sonic bliss.
