She doesn't belong to you or me

THUG LOVE STORY 2017 THE MUSICAL (interlude) Lyrics

Action Bronson: Who was that one you were telling me about the other evening, you were singin' about the sister in the street gang
Guy: Uh you're talkin' about... damn... say some words that I... I got so much shit
Bronson: ...in the street life...

I'm lookin' for this lady
She's special to me
So if by chance you see her
Won't you hit me on the hip, will you please?
I went to Red Cross and I went to the station
I looked up missing persons
And I found out that she wasn't there
Did she find, did she find
Did she find someone new?
Is it true?
Did she find, did she find
DId she find someone new?
I hope it's not true
My sister came over with no smile on her face
She said, "You better sit down"
It's gonna hurt, what she has to say
"That lady's not yours, she belongs to the streets
Where gangsters and hustlers
Where they meet on 125C
She can never be yours, a housewife, you see
She belongs to the ghetto, my friend
She doesn't belong to you or me
Did she find, did she find?"

Guy: See you could go two ways, it could be about drugs or it could be about a woman

Action was born and raised in Flushing, Queens. He is of Albanian and Jewish descent. He used to be a respected fire-flame gourmet chef in New York City, but gave up cooking for a rap career and still frequently raps about food in his songs. He initially gained notoriety lyrically and stylistically resembling to rapper Ghostface Killah (whom he collaborated with, along with friend, and fellow rapper Termanology on a song called "Meteor Hammer" on Wu-Tang Clan's 2011 album Legendary Weapons). In an interview with HipHopDX, he was asked about how it was to sound like him, and he responded with,

"Yeah, I mean at the end of the day, it’s all good because Ghostface Killah is one of the best rappers alive, so if I sound similar to the best rapper alive then that is fine. To me there is no comparison; he is a legend and I am a newcomer. If I would try and emulate with anyone it would be Kool G Rap, he is the person I look up to the most. I am not upset but at the end of the day I am my own person and no one can take that away from me."

He released his debut studio album Dr. Lecter in 2011. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
