Kangaroz is a Polish rock band formed in 1995 in Olsztyn. Originally known as Wild Stone, the group changed its name to Kangaroz in 1997. The band is renowned for blending various musical styles, including nu metal and nu rock, making their work stand out on the Polish music scene.

The band was founded by brothers Rafał and Krzysztof Bykowski and their friends. In 1995, vocalist Dawid Przyborowski joined the group, steering its musical direction toward grunge. In March 1995, the band recorded their first demo, featuring four tracks. In 1997, Kangaroz signed a contract with the Amigos M.D.C. label, which enabled them to record their debut album.

Kangaroz regularly performs at music festivals, earning acclaim from both audiences and critics. In 2002, they played at the Przystanek Woodstock festival, significantly boosting their popularity. The band has received numerous awards, including honors at the Prince Rocks festival and the Alternative Rock Festival.
