The arrival of this DJ and producer has happened at a fundamental moment in the Spanish house scene, which has become stagnated over the last couple of the years with a few dominate DJ´s / producers saturating the market. John Shelvin have brought a new fresh sound, which is bound to turn many heads. Born in Orense in 1982 he is now a full time resident in the Spanish capital Madrid. His love of music began at a very early age, with his first rave, which he has never forgotten. (A Story now typical of how many have been captured by electronic music). It all really began to happen when he got his first pair of decks mixer and sent a tape to one of the Spanish Capitals most prestigious club promoters, Grupo FSM. He got a residency at one of the groups clubs called “Macumba” at one of the parties they organised called “Sunflowers”. His reputation as a DJ took a big step with fantastic reactions from the crowd and acknowledgement from Spain’s main DJ community. In 2005 he was promoted to the groups most prestigious event as resident, ‘’Space of Sound’’. Every name in dance music history has played sessions in the Booth of “Space of Sound”. After a residency, which spanned for over a year John decided to leave the club on a high note and concentrate of his ultimate goal, “Shelvin Records”. Shelvin Records started in February 2006 with its first release “Temptation” by John himself. The record featured a NY Love Remix by John Creamer & Stephane K. His second release “Inbetween” released by Shelvin Records, includes vocals by Astrid Suryanto and remixes by Superchumbo and Chab. Get ready for more very big releases in 2007. Read more on Last.fm.
