Tennessee Whiskey Lyrics

She left me right outside el paso
Leavin scottsdale from a show
She said our lives are just to crazy
With us both out on the road.

Im wonderin what shes doin now
With her friends out on the town
Is she wonderin how im makin out
With every drink i wash her down
Tennessee whiskey tell me did ya miss me
She broke my heart when she left me
and now i need you to protect me

Sweet tennessee whiskeyyy ya ya ya
Sweet tennessee whiskeyyyy ya yeahh

Somethin somethin somethin
Feelin lonely in this crazy crowd
Forget the memories, try and make my peace and get up off the ground

Heyy yeahhh yeahhhh
Sweet tennessee whiskey, tell me did ya miss me
She broke my heart when she left me
And now i need you to protect me

Sweet tenneessee whiskeyyyy
Tell me did ya miss me
She broke my heart when she left me
And now i need you to protect meeee

Sweet tennessee whiskeyyy ya ya yeahhh
Sweet tenessee whiskeyyy ya ya yeahhh

I cant say its the endinggg
Cuz ill see her when i get home.

Sweet tennessee whiskeyyyy
Sweet tennessee whiskeyyyy

By the time we got to austin
I was damn near insane
I hadnt heard from her in three days
I kept waitin on that phone to ring

Im wonderin what shes doin now
With her friends out on the town
If shes wonderin how im makin out
With every drink i wask her down
Tennessee whiskey tell me did ya miss me
She broke my heart when she left me
Now i need you to protect me

Frontman Michael Hobby (23) and lead guitarist Bill Satcher (22), the co-founders and creative conspirators of A Thousand Horses, have been crafting rock music infused with traditional American flavors of the southeastern US for over half a decade. A Thousand Horses blends blues, R and B, and good old slashing guitars, bass & drums in an elixir that comes out tasting of Small Faces and “Exile”-era Rolling Stones.

The two became good friends after meeting in a local music store back in 2003 in their hometown of Newberry, SC. With a mutual admiration for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and a slew of other classic rock records, it wasn't before long the first semblance of what is now A Thousand Horses started taking shape. Having cut their teeth in the southern rock club circuit, Michael and Bill never let an empty room slow them down. This is a band founded upon the collective love of the creative process. "Mission statements are for high schools and politicians - we're a rock n roll band" explained Michael when asked about his goals for A Thousand Horses.

Fast forward to 2010 - After several lineup changes over the years, Michael and Bill have rounded out the band with Bill's cousin Graham DeLoach (22) on bass, Zach Brown (24) on guitar and Shane Lenzen (24) on drums.

With the August 17, 2010 release of their debut, self-titled EP on DGC/Interscope/Van Howes Records, A Thousand Horses are positioned at the starting gate for a busy second half of 2010 and beyond.
