The Distance Lyrics

I hear you crying and I know what it's like to be alone
You're scared and I'm not there
It's like you're living with a ghost
someone you can't hold
and you say it's so unfair

And just so you know the distance is what's killing me
time and space have become the enemy
And what I need is so far away
and so it goes
the distance makes it hard to breathe
My heart won't let go easily
I don't want to be this far away

I'm lying by myself and silence seems to swell
someday this all will change
its a temporary pain
see your face and speak your name
till then i'll scream into the night.

And just so you know the distance is what's killing me
time and space have become the enemy
And what I need is so far away
and so it goes
the distance makes it hard to breathe
My heart won't let go easily
I don't want to be this far away

Well i got my life and you got my world tonight

and i miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
And just so you know the distance is what's killing me
time and space have become the enemy
And what I need is so far away
and so it goes
the distance makes it hard to breathe
My heart won't let go easily
I don't want to be this far away.

Hot Chelle Rae was Nashville pop rock band. They began with a meeting etween singer-songwriter Nash Overstreet and guitarist Ryan Follese in 2005. After several changes, they eventually finalised their line up as Follese (lead vocalist), Overstreet (lead guitarist) plus Ian Keaggy (bass) and Jamie Follese (drums) and named themselves after their first "dedicated" fan, Chelle Rae.

All four Hot Chelle Rae members have family connections to other entertainers. Lead guitarist Nash Overstreet is the son of Country songwriter Paul Overstreet. His brother, Chord Overstreet, is an actor best known for playing Sam on Glee. Vocalist Ryan Follese and drummer Jamie Follese's father, Keith Follese, is also a country songwriter. Bass player Ian Keaggy is the son of contemporary Christian singer/guitarist Phil Keaggy.

They were signed to Jive Records in October 2008, and then began work on their first album, Lovesick Electric, which was released on October 23, 2009. Tonight Tonight became their first song to enter the Hot 100 when it debuted at #93 on the chart dated April 30, 2011.

Their song, I Like To Dance, being featured on the show "So You Think You Can Dance," was their first released single. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
