Dlugokecki (pronounced Der-loo-go-ken-ski) is a British band (sometimes a trio) based in Southampton led by singer and songwriter Ben Dlugokecki. With a wide range of influences (from Paul Simon and James Taylor through to more recent acts such as Elbow and David Gray), the songs range from gentle piano-and-guitar-based ballads to epic, emotional upbeat songs.

After recording four self-produced albums at home, Ben Dlugokecki came to the attention of producer/writer Neil Kerr. He signed a production deal with Off The Wharf Productions, a music production company co-owned by Kerr and award-winning producer Mark Hill (Artful Dodger/Craig David). They completed two singles, mixed at London’s Metropolis studio, released March 1st 2005 on Cherrywood Records followed by an album of Studio Recordings called 'Before The Storm' in July 2006 mixed in the USA.

Ben Dlugokecki reached the final eight of the 'Sennheiser Best Unsigned Artist 2004' out of 2000 entries, played the 2005 ASCAP showcase at the London Barfly, had his music in the i-tunes music store, was named artist of the month on the 'Musician's Channel' on Sky and had his debut music video played daily.

His music has been used on the soundtrack of Channel 4 hit show “Ny-Lon”, he has recorded in Metropolis Studio, London and had a twelve-day session in Ibiza, and recently had four tracks heavily featured in episodes of Channel 4's "Hollyoaks".

With his live performances he has also played alongside 'Corinne-Bailey Rae' twice, , 'Paddy Casey', 'The Bluetones', 'Nerina Pallot', 'Battle', 'John Power (CAST/The La's)' and 'Sandi (I wish I were a punkrocker) Thom' three times.

Three of his biggest shows of that time were with Snow Patrol and Lu Lu, playing to thousands of people and his 2006 Christmas show in Southampton show which was a sell out.

In 2007, Dlugokecki completed and released a debut album through independent record label 'And Records'.

In 2009 the band played the 'South by Southwest' Festival in Austin, Texas, also playing two shows in New York.

In 2010, they released a 34-track double album spanning the 10 years of 'Dlugokecki’ – celebrating the event with a tour and sell-out show in their hometown.

They released five new singles in 2019 - ‘The Bliss’, ‘Lightyears’, ‘Sure’, ‘You Don’t Even Know Who You Are’ and ‘X10’.

Dlugokecki returned in 2023 with the release of two new singles ‘The Optimist’ and ‘The Dreams of a Kamikaze Pilot’. ‘The Optimist’ spent 2-weeks at Number 1 in the South Coast Chart.
