Risen from the crashed remains of two former bands (the Foreign Strangers, Slaves of Suppression) Solar Manoeuvre teamed up in the summer of 2010. Since then Roland Ripka, Andreas Gaubitzer, Christian Veit and Alexander Bartuschka locked themselves up in their basement in Höflein an der Donau to work on some beautiful songs they’ve also recorderd and are ready to perform.

In April 2011, the band started recording their first album "Chez MIR" and planned to release it on their first gig September 14th, 2011 at the mach_bar in Klosterneuburg, Austria.
In August 2011 they published 4 Songs on their website solarmanoeuvre.com which were released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 3.0 license.

On August 10th, 2012 they announced that a new member (David Mazanek) has joined them.
On November 2nd 2012 they released their second album "Gold Rush in Dead Space" digitally worldwide.
