There is more than one artist with this name:

1) Gin Wigmore is a 21 year old New Zealander, and is the first artist signed to Island Records Australia. Gin has taken her life's ups and downs, held them up to the light, and crafted songs which speak to an almost universal experience of fear, hope, love and joy.

Virginia (Gin) Wigmore beat 11,000 entries from 77 countries to win the Grand Prize at the International Song Competition 2004. Gin's winning song, Hallelujah was written about her father who passed away in 2002 due to cancer. It is included on her debut Extended Play.

The distinctiveness of Gin's voice and her captivating
songwriting (with influences now ranging from Neil Young, David Gray and Jeff Buckley through to Edith Piaf
and de la Soul) won her new friends in both the USA and UK.

2) Gin Ironic, better known as just Gin, hails from Salem, Oregon. Her delicate yet soaring voice has drawn comparisons to diverse artists such as Mandy Moore, Carina Round, and Shakira. She is a bold and intelligent lyricist, unafraid of exploring topics from "deviant" forms of sexual expression to love stories aboard a spaceship. Gin is a rare artist -- one who approaches her music with sensitivity, yet can pull fiercely hot dance moves in the next moment. She's currently working on a move that many predict will become her signature dance statement: turning her shirt inside out.
