The Marvelous Slut Lyrics

How ironic
I'm nailed to the cross
While the vultures stuff their mouths.
God and the devil are split by a thin white line

Six feet from an early grave
Nine inches from being saved
Eighteen hundred miles of skeletons on the interstate

Why do I give myself away?
Why do I bleed so easily?
Why do I give myself away...
To be yours?

Six feet from an early grave
Nine inches from being saved
Eighteen hundred miles of skeletons on the interstate

Why do I give myself away?
Why do I bleed so easily?
Why do I give myself away?

If death's coming it best come quick
If death's coming it best come quick
If death's coming it best come quick
Or I'm all yours

Her clothes will crack and peel off
A heart sins in a heaven made soft
I am eaten of worms 'til I give up the ghost

If death's coming it best come quick
If death's coming it best come quick
If death's coming it best come quick
Or I'm all yours

Take me home

How ironic
I'm nailed to the cross
While the vultures stuff their mouths.
God and the devil are split by a thin white line

Why do I give myself away?
Why do I bleed so easily?
Why do I give myself away?

I'm worth nothing to me

Every Time I Die is a five-piece Metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, founded in the winter of 1998. Though popularly classified as hardcore, Every Time I Die's sound also contains strong elements of metalcore, southern rock and mathcore. Beginning with a noisy, chaotic hardcore sound, subsequent releases increasingly added fat grooves and twin leads to the mix, with each album treading different ground. They are also acclaimed for Keith Buckley's intelligent and often cryptic lyrics. The band have just released their eighth full-length "Low Teens", on Epitaph.

More recently the band headlined a successful tour with The Chariot and The Fucking Hotlights, as well as toured in support of GWAR.
