2005-2007.

The Summer We Went West is a box of hot tamales in a spaghetti western. Anything flies with SWWW, as all we want to do is make noise and make notes and have notes mate with noise. We like to drink, we like to explore, and we like to wear top hats filled with whiskey. here is a movie of praise the holy moon goddess.

As of 9/15/2007 swww isn't really a band anymore. Erik moved to california, and everyone else, is working on other projects. We're all still good friends and it was a mutual end. The time had just come. Thanks for everyone who ever came out to shows and to all our friends who supported us, let us borrow equipment, drove us somewhere, bought an album, stole an album, hung out when we recorded, drove us home when we were too drunk to drive ourselves, etc. Thanks for all the whiskey.

Members of the summer we went west have been a part of Dawn Treader (myspace.com/dawntreaderkids), Pansori (myspace.com/eighthundredyearsofsilence) and gone on to form Monument (myspace.com/monumentisaband), Diablero (myspace.com/diableropunx), Let's (myspace.com/letsssssss), Boat Water (myspace.com/boatwatersunkin), and For The Agenda (myspace.com/fortheagenda).

The summer we went west had only one official release, "following the holy moon goddess", but a CDR with 7 tracks was also compiled for a 2006 tour. Both, and other live tracks, are available for free on their website: thesummerwentwest.com. Read more on Last.fm.
