Harkening back to a time when lyrics were honest and singers held mastery over a tune, Daken sit in a unique musical position within the underground metal scene. Though wearing their influences on their sleeves, they have developed their own signature sound underpinned by brutal riffs, plus an effortless blend of the metallic rhytmns and aching, melodic predilections regarded as a dichotomy by too many bands.

Frontman Dave has a musical career spanning over a decade of playing drums for a wealth of bands at an international level. Early in 2009 he began producing the content on which Daken is formed, and cultivating the band as it is today.
