1) David Wilson (September 22, 1945 - ) is an American-born violinist and recording artist, best known for his distinctive stylings and arrangements of popular and original compositions performed on the violin.

Wilson began his professional recording career in 1987, performing nightly at the romantic hideaway restaurant, Il Cielo, in Beverly Hills, California. It was here where Wilson performed for a number of Hollywood celebrities and political figures, earning him the moniker, "Violinist to the Stars". Tina Sinatra took note of Wilson's music and recommended him to perform at a private event attended by Henry Mancini. Upon hearing the performance, Mancini invited Wilson to be the featured soloist on his film score for the 1990 Blake Edwards film "Switch". The following year, Mancini featured Wilson's improvisations on the RCA album "As Time Goes By."

Following his collaborations with Mancini, Wilson went on to record his first solo album "There's a Small Hotel" in 1997. Working with producer Benedikt Brydern, the duo recorded a collection of popular music culled from the American songbook intermixed with continental favorites. Wilson was eventually signed by Swallowtail Records, a subdivision of Minneapolis’ Mill City Music, who released the debut. Wilson's relationship with the record company continued for nearly the next decade, with the release of seven more well-received albums, including:

Brydern was involved with most Wilson's eight Swallowtail releases, as well as two additional albums released on Brydern's own label, ConSordino. The first release, "Elegancia" (2004), featured Wilson's interpretations of of romantic Latin favorites, while the second, and Wilson's most recent, "Nobody Does It Better" - Love Songs of Our Generation (2008), featured Wilson's takes on a number of familiar popular love songs.

Wilson currently resides in Hollywood, California and continues to perform throughout Southern California.
