Susan Clark was born and grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, but has lived in the Albuquerque, NM area for the past 20 years. It is difficult to say who here musical influences were as her music is not easily pigeon-holed. She writes songs in whatever style works best for the particular tune. He music spans the genres of american folk, jazz, blues, and when called for a little latin rhythm. You truly need to hear her music to appreciate its breadth.

Susan is an award winning artist in New Mexico having won the 2007 New Mexico Music Commission awards for Best Production, Best Song and Overall Best CD for her CD Waitin' For the Wind. The Best Song was Meet Me In New Orleans. Her first album, Take Me Home, while not getting quite the recognition as the second, also shows off the range of her music and gifted vocals.
