Throw It Back Lyrics

This is a Missy Elliott exclusive

Walk up in this thang
I be on my game
If there's competition
I put them to shame
Different kind of chick
We are not the same
I raised all these babies, call me Captain Jack, sayin'
Please don't steal my style
I might cuss you out
What ya doin' now, I did for a while
Missy, Missy, Missy
Go 'head, let it slap
I'ma snatch they wigs, till I see that scalp
Booty, booty claps, flyin' across the map
Lambo on the block, lookin' like a snack
I show you how I do it (Do it)
Show you how it's done
Don't look for another Missy, 'cause there'll be no 'nother one (One)

(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back

Middle finger flip
Get up off my tip
Money, money clip
Louis on my hip
Lambo be the whip
Like banana splits
Look at all my ice, see the way the jewelry drip
Come up off at that lit, lit
Yeah, he wanna kick it
But he cannot kick it
Unless he be my dip-dip
Call me Missy, Mi-Mi
I don't play them trick-tricks
Man I'm so legit-git
Watch me flip, reverse it
(Flip it and reverse it)
(Stupid with the verses)
Man, I got the coat and shoes just to match the purses
(Woop! Woop! Woop! Woop!)
I don't need rehearsing
The way I throw it back, I show the whole crowd how I work it

Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back

Missy make up her own rules
Not many can do what I do
So many VMA's that I could live on the moon
Man, I jump and you leap
Better wake up if you sleep
I did records for Tweet before y'all could even tweet
Y'all be thinkin' shit's sweet
Been hot before you could speak
I'm like Heavy D, everybody love me, capise?
Need a PJ when I take flight
Get your review and your ratings right
Missy still got 'em losing control
And every night is still ladies night

(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
(Watch me) Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
Throw it back
(Watch me)
(Watch me)
(Watch me)
(Watch me)

Melissa Arnette Elliott (born July 1, 1971 in Portsmouth, Virginia), better known by her stage name Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, is an American Grammy Award winning rapper, singer, producer, actress and former member of the R&B group Sista. With sales of over seven million in the United States alone she is the only female rapper to have six albums certified platinum by the RIAA and has worked extensively as a producer for many other artists along with her childhood friend Timbaland. She released her debut album, Supa Dupa Fly in 1997 and has since released 1999's Da Real World, 2001's Miss E… So Addictive, 2002's Under Construction, 2003's This is Not a Test! and 2005's The Cookbook. She has been working on her seventh studio album, Block Party, since 2007 and it will hopefully be released late 2010 or early 2011.

Elliott is one of the first female hip hop superstars, known for a long series of hits including "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)", "Hit 'Em Wit Da Hee", "Get Ur Freak On", "One Minute Man", "Work It", and "Lose Control". In addition she has received recognition as one of the most successful songwriters of the modern music era, having crafted a number of hit records for artists such as Aaliyah, 702, Total, Ciara, Nicole Wray and Tweet, often with production-partner and childhood friend Timbaland. She was the third female rapper to ever go Platinum, behind Lil' Kim and Da Brat.

Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, she began her career in the all-girl R&B group, Sista in 1993. Eventually, the band folded and Elliott began her career as a solo rapper. Since the early 1990's, Elliott has won six Grammys, recently scoring one for her video of "Lose Control."

Other releases are 'Teary Eyed' and 'We Run This', and the last of these two songs will be the main single of the new greatest hits album titled 'Respect M.E.: Best Of' featuring 17 tracks from her six albums.
