Lazy Lizard is a rock band from Aveiro, Portugal. Formed in 2006, its original lineup consisted of João Fino (vocals, tambourine, keyboards), João Veludo (drums, sound engineering and producing), Lúcio Ferreira (electric guitar, slide guitar), Pedro Lopes (bass) and Ricardo Relvas (electric guitar). In early 2008, Ricardo was replaced on guitar duties by André Branquinho after amicably leaving the band, becoming the band's sound tech on some live shows. They released two self-titled, self-produced demos in 2007 and 2009. Lazy Lizard gained some notoriety in the end of 2008 for being selected to participate in the portuguese Termometro contest. They also produced videos for the songs “Blind the Dog” and “Ladybug”, the latter being a footage editing of the movie “Tuvalu”. Some of Lazy Lizard’s songs are also featured on the soundtrack for the webshow “Carne P’ra Canhão” (http://carnepracanhao.sapo.pt). In December 2009, João Fino decided to leave the band to pursue other musical projects, creating the band Rouge. Not being able to find someone up to the standard, the group disbanded in May 2010.
In May 2011, the group reunited and by September they were back on the road playing live shows. In January 2012, André Branquinho leaves the band. The quest for yet another guitar player goes on, and Fino's guitar playing becomes a part of the band's sound. In November, Miguel Santos (formerly of Wild Tiger Affair) joins Lazy Lizard as the 3rd guitar-wielding man! With a new dynamic and sound, Lazy Lizard record and release the songs "Nightingale" and "Deserted Houses" in May 2013. Read more on Last.fm.
