Anchors For Reality was started in Nov. 2004 with the lineup of Alex Grubaugh, Randall Erno, and Scott Mariner. The band went on completed its first northeast tour in Nov. of 2005. In the summer of 2006 Honesty E.P. was self produced and released on June 23, 2005. The band then went on to win Petoskeys local Bay Band Jam Competition in August. At this point in time the crew picked up another member, Andrew Klomp. The four-piece then began to write new material and eventually record Searching for Something. The second album was release on October 31, 2005. The band then went on to complete a second visit to the East Coast in November of 2005 followed by an additional two week tour of the midwest in December. Returning from the holidays A4R decided to take a break from touring and to go separate ways. Throughout the winter and spring all band members took roles in different bands but it wasn't till early summer that they all realized where they needed to be. In June the band began talks with a new label out of Detroit called Runway Records. They would sign to the label and spend two weeks in Atlanta recording Honesty LP. Later in the summer they would pick up Kyle Lenkey to fill in the acoustic and keyboard parts new to A4R. The band along with Runway Records will release Honesty LP on October 1st, 2006.
