4. ton is a project by Greeks Dimitis Damaskos (aka Damcase) and Haris Koutsokostas (aka Vokal Idiot). Analogue sound sources, field recordings and samples create a diverse audio environment in which you can distinguish the interaction of diverse musical influences.

5. TON was a 3-piece metal band from Seattle, WA that formed in 1997 and was active from 1997 - 2004. Their first self-titled EP TON was released in 1997 and contained 8 songs. This was followed by another EP release in 1998, titled Recognition in Progress. 2000 saw the full album release Say...TON. Another 8 song album Songs at Richards was released in 2002. 2003 another 2 song EP was released, with 2004 seeing their final EP release, The Final Recordings.




Ton! Vermutlich liegen die Ursprünge schon etwas länger zurück, denn als Ton im Januar 2006 gegründet wurde, gab es schon an die vierzig Songs, die in einem kleinen Keller im Kölner Umland entstanden waren. In seiner Zeit als Sänger und Songwriter bei den Wohlstandskindern hatte Tobias Roeger immer wieder nebenbei an Liedern und Ideen gearbeitet, die letztendlich den Grundstein für Ton legen sollten. Zusammen mit Philipp Kostka und Christoph Zipper entstand daraus ein Trio, das in gewissen Momenten irgendwie an Coldplay, Travis oder Billy Joel zu erinnern vermag, und dann doch wieder ganz anders ist. Nicht zuletzt die deutschen tiefgründigen Texte machen Ton zu einem treuen Freund in Deiner Plattensammlung. Read more on Last.fm.
