Cloudcage, real name Benjamin Lepper (fka Ben Lepper, is an American chillout/house music producer.

When he was diagnosed with blood cancer in his senior year of high school, Lepper wasn’t sure how much time he had left. What he was sure of, however, was that life was too short for him to not make the music he loved to listen to. He switched out gritty and energetic basslines for uplifting progressions and beautiful ambiences and built the Cloudcage project from the ground up, inspired by the feeling of staying positive while everything falls apart. He debuted the project in 2020 with a remix of Guster’s “When You Go Quiet”, which placed third in its remix contest, and then released his debut EP “31519” just over half a year later, both of which were mostly produced while he was undergoing intense chemotherapy. After completing his treatment in 2021, Ben continued to pump out beautiful progressive anthems on a consistent basis and caught the attention of Monstercat Silk, Synth Collective, Emergent Music, and more.
