def rebel is, indeed, a pseudonym for DJDTP, a music production company based in New York, where WWE Music Group is also headquartered.

WWE and DJDTP have been working together since, at least, February 2019, when they announced the official themes of WrestleMania 35, which were produced and published by DJDTP.

def rebel’s first try at entrance music was broadcasted on April 29th 2019, providing WWE alumni Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder with a new sound in “Still Major”, a reference to their Major Brothers days.

The team has done at least 40 cues for WWE so far, including entrance music for Bayley, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Brock Lesnar, Cain Velazquez, Elias, Humberto Carrillo, Rob Gronkowski, Tyson Fury, to name a few.

DJDTP opened shop in 2018 as Doug Davis and Ali Dee arranged a deal to join forces and work together on a new project, signing Universal Music Publishing immediately as their partner.

Doug Davis, American music industry executive, entertainment lawyer and Grammy Award winning record producer, is the head of DJDTP. He is the son of music industry icon Clive Davis.

def rebel’s music production team is lead by Ali “Dee Theodore”, DJDTP’s Creative Director, and Anthony Mirabella III, also known as BEⅠⅠⅠA.

Ali Dee shares a similar business background as Doug Davis, having had his breakthrough in the music industry by creating a production team specialised in film soundtracks, named DeeTown.

Anthony Mirabella is a Berklee College of Music graduate, as is John Alicastro of CFO$. He was brought to the music team after being scouted by Ali Dee at the turn of the 2010s.

Alongside Ali Dee and Mirabella, they’re also joined by other musicians that provide varied cues for the songs, who are also signed to DJDTP.

Nikki Era, American Idol Season 16 Reboot contestant, and Supreme Madness are frequent vocalists, as is John McCurry occasionally invited to dub guitars, and Ricky Belfort to provide additional music.
