Several well-known prog rock artists participated on their albums, e.g. bassists Billy Sheehan and Matt Bissonette who is also the vocalist, guitarists Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan and Alex Sill, and keyboarders Jeff Babko and Derek Sherinian.

In 2024, DarWin, the ongoing musical exploration featuring Phillips, Mohini Dey, Howe, Sherinian and Bissonette, have shared their new album, Five Steps On The Sun.

Their first release was a demo by the name of "As evolution continues" (which has been rereleased under Hecticrecords). After this Lifeforce records released the debut mcd ‘This mental nourishment, my drive’. For this 2 releases Darwin toured Europe several times. The release of their first full length ‘In the eye of the beholder’ was released through Burning Season Records the 20th of june 2003.
