Ways to Fake It Lyrics

The way that it's been going
I don't want anyone to know
The way that I've been thinking
I'm ashamed to let it show
The way that I've been spending
And all the money that I blow

The days are never ending, baby
I discovered long ago, oh, you know
I discovered long ago

I got ways to fake it
You'll never know
A million ways to fake it
No one will ever know
I got ways to fake it
You'll never know
A million ways to fake it
No one will ever know

The way that it's been looking
No one ever has to see
Seeing ain't believing nothing
No one ever knows it's me
I'll just keep pretending
I'm what you want me to be

Hope for happy endings, baby
No one gives it up for free, oh, you know
No one gives it up for free

I got ways to fake it
You'll never know
A million ways to fake it
No one will ever know
I got ways to fake it
You'll never know
A million ways to fake it
No one will ever know

And can you hear me say
There's another way
Can you hear me say
No one will ever know

CRX

CRX is a band from Los Angeles, California comprised of Nick Valensi (Vocals/Guitar), Ralph Alexander (Drums), Brad Oberhofer (Keyboard/Backing Vocals), Jon Safley (Bass/Backing Vocals), and Darian Zahedi (Guitar/Backing Vocals). Original keyboardist Richie Follin left in 2018.

The band formed in 2013 and released their debut album 'New Skin' on October 28th, 2016. The album was written by Valensi (except for the track 'On Edge' which was co-written with Zahedi and Safley) and served as his first solo effort upon branching out from The Strokes. The album spawned two singles, 'Ways To Fake It' and 'Broken Bones'.

During extensive touring for 'New Skin', Valensi encouraged greater collaboration by inviting in Zahedi and Safley to help him write tracks based on the music they were listening to while traveling. In 2018, their single 'Love Me Again' was released; this single would would mark an introduction of a New Wave inspired sound into the band's music.

Pulling from more New Wave influences like Love Me Again, their sophomore album 'PEEK' was released on August 23rd, 2019 and so far has spawned two singles: 'Falling' and 'Get Close'.
