Timothy Wynne Wallace, better known online as T-Dub, is an independent rapper from Alpena, Michigan. He is famous for the infamous Mario rap known as, "Mario Be Playin'."

DISCLAIMER: It should be noted that T-Dub has no real known channel or profile, save for a few personal ones, and all T-Dub related content was shared on channels owned by Adam Strohschein, who went to the same school as T-Dub, Alpena High School.

The story goes that in October of 2008, Adam was informed by a friend to see the evening showing of his high school's talent show since “there was a guy that ‘rapped and danced,’” so he brought his camera and filmed it. He would later upload T-Dub’s rap song to his old channel, “adamspeople13.” A year later in 2009, he uploaded a Napoleon Dynamite remix version, featuring edits of T-Dub dancing to mirror the dance scene from the source movie. Around this time, he also heard through word of mouth that T-Dub was selling copies of his album he called; “In The Club” at the local 7-Eleven (now closed), so Adam got one for $2 and decided to put one song to a video, which would be “Mario be playin' T-Dub.”

Two versions of the music video were uploaded, one with subtitles, the other without. The first few years it didn’t really take off, and less and less was heard about T-Dub. However, around the late 2010s, the channel blew up, with their most viewed video, (the music video with subtitles), gaining over 2.1 million views, cementing it's status in meme culture.

Unfortunately, by this point Adam had forgotten his original account’s login information and lost his “In The Club” CD. Thankfully, a friend of his still had a copy, so after a while he decided to start a new channel, “Admiral Dadam,” completely dedicated to T-Dub, including a brand new music video. However, none of it became as famous as “Mario Be Playin'.” The uploads consist of the complete "In The Club" EP, the lyric video for Ramba Tambas, and a few playlists.

As for T-Dub himself, not much is known. He has basically no social media footprint, with only a few social media pages under his real name with no posts. There does exist, however, a Facebook fan profile that features numerous photos of T-Dub himself, including his graduation, so it was presumably made by a friend around that time. According to housing records, he still lives in Alpena, and according to Adam, allegedly was at one point going to change his rap name to “Trimba Tree.” Read more on Last.fm.
