What I Didn't Say Lyrics

Secrets told in the pictures on your skin
Hours fade in the days that never end
I see myself reflected in your eyes
And I hate the way I'm wearing all these lies

So I let you go and I watch you leave
And I hold my breath so you don't hear me scream
When you walk away
But the words are only in my head
It's not what I said
It's what I didn't say

Is she everything you wanted her to be
Yeah, I bet she never breaks your heart like me
So with one more night I cover up with you
And I hate myself for what I didn't do

So I let you go and I watch you leave
And I hold my breath so you don't hear me scream
When you walk away
But the words are only in my head
It's not what I said
It's what I didn't say

Should've known better
Now all I have left is a permanent stain
The only part of you I get to keep forever to prove I lived this pain
Maybe I was never as smart as I thought
Maybe we can never be as good as we want
Maybe you just didn't need me enough
Maybe we're too clever to be falling in love like this
Like this

Secrets told in the silence of my sin
And I'm the one who loses in the end

So I let you go and I watch you leave
And I hold my breath so you don't hear me scream
When you walk away
You walk away
But the words are only in my head
It's not what I said that's keeping me away
Keeping me away
It's what I didn't say
Yeah, what I didn't say
It's not what I said that's keeping me away
It's what I didn't say
What I didn't say

Saving Jane is a band from Columbus, Ohio who is most famous for their hit song "Girl Next Door". The band consists of Marti Dodson, Pat Buzzard, Dak Goodman, Brandon Hagan, and Eric Flores.

It all started in Columbus, Ohio when Dodson and Buzzard became friends and realized that there was a musical connection. Then they contacted a drummer to help them record a song, and that is how they met Goodman. After that, they decided to start a band by borrowing a bass player from another band and by booking a few shows. They recruited a lead guitarist. Saving Jane's popularity grew because the fans loved the lyrics and the vocals. In 2002, Martin joined the band. Cochran and Unger were recently added to the popular band.

Their album "Girl Next Door" was released in October of 2005. After major radio play of the single of the same name, Universal picked them up. The album was re-released with 2 new tracks in April of 2006. The single "Girl Next Door" has received much radio play, it had already peaked at #34 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video for "Girl Next Door" debuted on MTV'sTRL top 10 countdown on April 24, 2006 at #9.

In summer 2008, a followup album called SuperGirl was released with promo remixes of the title track single Supergirl by Jason Nevins.
