Million Dollar Itch (MDI) is a gritty "hard wave" band with a very unique driving sound that hails from the seedier parts of the SF/Oakland Bay Area. The band is fronted by Jon Best (vocals / guitar), and is backed by the tough rhythm section of Stephen Beacham (Bass), and Brian "Bub" McCarthy (Drums). Ron Heckert on keys rounds out the quartet.

MDI is not a band that can be adequately pigeonholed into a specific musical genre. MDI has been compared to such diverse bands as Devo, The Butthole Surfers, Gary Numan, and a variety of late 80's, early 90's death rock.

The record, "Angry America" was officially released on the 12th of December 2007.


The band is currently working on a follow up album which will be released on CD Baby and ITunes in 2009.
