What's That You Say Lyrics

i see those empty spaces wandering round and round
talking to themselves talking to the ground
we all know we're Six feet from our grave
but do you really care if your soul is saved
what's that you say
i know you're young and i know you're not afraid
what's that you say
but when it's time to go is that what yOu'll say
i'm not afraid
i fear the thought when you finally realize
all alone in your head all alone inside
what's that you say

i knew a Man who was hanging on the edge
falling to his knees with every word hE said
and then on day the miracle Took
if not hat empty space would have swallowed him up
what's tHat you say
i know you're young and i know you're not afraid
what's that you say
but when it's time to go is that when you'll say
I'm not afraid
i fear the thought when you finally realize
what's that you say

i know sometimes it's hard to read between lies
but there's a truth that sanity deNies
some people say that it's all left up to chance
but you can't undermine what you don't understand
what's that you say
i know you're younG and i know you're not afraid
what's that you say
but when it's tiMe to go is that what you'll say
i'm not afraid
i fear the thOught when you finally realize
all alone in youR head all alone insidE
what's that you say

Sprung Monkey started selling CDs out of their trunks in San Diego around 1991, but these days you're more likely to see them on MTV. Or in movies like "Dude, Where's My Car" and "10 Things I Hate About You". Or on TV with Conan O'Brien. Or on the Billboard charts, where "Get 'Em Out of Here" made the top ten Alternative list.

But while Sprung Monkey made their name in surf, skate, and snowboard flicks, they earned their reputation on the road. Tours with Blink 182 and the Offspring and slots on the Van's Warped Tour and ESPN's X-Games introduced loads of fans to this kick-ass So Cal band, and 6 Australian tours (so far) made them a worldwide phenomenon (or Angus Young's love children, at least).

Which brings us to the reason we're here: "Get A Taste". Sprung Monkey's newest CD combines the raw energy of "Swirl" and "Mr. Funny Face" with the experience and inspiration of a band that's been through it all. With previous discs selling in the hundreds of thousands, Sprung Monkey takes things to the next level--"Get a Taste" has more hooks than a meat locker and more attitude than Johnny Knoxville's jock strap.
