Fall is here, and the leaves all come down, down, down
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, and I'm nearly whited-out, snowblind
It's no business of mine if life don't want me aroundLyrics provided by TANCODEhttp://lyricsever.com/" readonly=""/>

White Lyrics

We crashed through crazed glass in the white-hot burst of the fiery blast
We flared through choked air, in the deafening blare, in the scattering ash
Summer's here and I'm gonna crack, crack, crack
Summer's here and I'm gonna crack
We sort through shocked quartz in a jewelry store whilst your sister and dad
Consort with kept courtesans, while the whole world is in ruins we laugh
Summer's here and I'm gonna cry, cry, cry
Summer's here and I'm gonna cry
Summer's here and I'm near a heart attack or flash of real feeling
Teeth gnashing, and blasting and reeling through black

'Cause, kids, when I first saw your mom, well, I was right and she was wrong
About just the kind of man she was bringing back
And when I first met her dad, well, I felt good and he felt bad
But, kids, you'll find that, over time, you're just trapped
Spring is gone and you're gonna gasp, gasp, gasp
Spring is gone and you're gonna gasp
Gasp

And, friends, when I first saw the groom rise from the darkness of the tomb, I was unnerved though overall I was wowed
When I first saw the bride, the look inside her eyes just cried, "if someone has some cause to stop, say it now"
Fall is here, and the leaves all come down, down, down
Fall is here, and the leaves all come down, down, down
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, it's too cold to drown, drown, drown
Winter's here, and I'm nearly whited-out, snowblind
It's no business of mine if life don't want me around

Okkervil River is an indie/folk rock band from Austin, Texas USA. Formed in 1998, the band takes its name from a short story by Russian author Tatyana Tolstaya. The band currently consists of Will Sheff (vocals, guitar), Will Graefe (guitar), Sarah K. Pedinotti (keyboards), Benjamin Lazar Davis (bass) and Cully Symington (drums).

The band self-released their first album, Stars Too Small to Use, which led them to the South by Southwest music festival. After recording their first album in a garage, they signed with Jagjaguwar. Okkervil River continued by releasing four more albums, including critically lauded concept album Black Sheep Boy.

After a period of touring for Black Sheep Boy, Okkervil River followed up with The Stage Names. The album sold 10,000 in its opening week in the United States. The group released a free covers album, Golden Opportunities Mixtape from their live performances.

The band has garnered positive critical reception. Especially noted are each song's lyrics, intricate instrumentation, and thematic albums. In addition, they were featured on the talk show Late Night with Conan O'Brien and have performed with high profile bands such as The Decemberists, The New Pornographers, The National, and Lou Reed.

Okkervil River released their most recent album The Silver Gymnasium on September 3, 2013.
