Dr. Powerful has been bringing the rock from the rural dot of Sanford, N.C. since 2005.

Featuring the skinsmanship of longtime Polvo drummer Eddie Watkins, Dr. Powerful plays music that is loud or fast or sometimes both. There are nods to Watkins' former band, as well as to influences such as Drive Like Jehu, Brian Eno, Roads to Space Travel, Pinback, and others.

Daydipsnake is their first record. It was recorded by Jerry Kee at Duck Kee Studios in Mebane, N.C. from August to October 2006.
