1) Post-Punk/Garage-Punk band from Aachen/Germany:
THE LOST TAPES are combining early 80's post punk & wave (Joy Division & Wipers) with the dark sound of nowadays' bands like the Estranged, Grave Pleasures or Arctic Flowers. 2) Alternative Rock/Psychedelic band from Scotland, currently based in Dublin:
The Lost Tapes is the creative brainchild of musician and songwriter Kris Mitchell. Originally from Scotland but now residing in Dublin, Kris started off playing throughout Scotland before his band 'Apache Sun' signed to 30th Century Records. Since then Kris has been releasing music under 'The Lost Tapes', cranking out fuzz infused riffs and reverb soaked folk songs that are packed with murky drifter vibes and catchy hooks. None of these songs were written or rehearsed before they were recorded. All these songs were recorded super-lo-fi on a handful of crappy mics and other equipment found lying around. The idea is that we take a jazz ethic and apply it to DIY punk rock. Are we just that good...or just that lazy? Listen and decide for yourself.
