Andrew Garcia, 24, was born in Compton, California, but grew up in Moreno Valley, California, where he still lives. He is a singer/song writer, playing the guitar and singing since he was 18.

Pior to the Idol competition, Andrew was known on Youtube. His account contained videos of him doing covers of songs or originals with also family and friends. He has been involved with The Adrian William Project and Ovid, singing and playing the guitar.

Andrew made the 2010 American Idol competition as far as the top 9, being eliminated along with contestant Katie Stevens during double elimination week. He was one of the risk takers for season 9, putting his own twists to popular songs as "Straight Up" and "Forever". Though eliminated, Andrew will be seen this summer along with the other Idols for the Idol Tour. Read more on Last.fm.
