You and I Lyrics

Last night
Woke up in a dream
Red and white
Couldn't stop screaming
Shadows
Comin in close to me
Yeah
But the
Suns out
Stinging in my eyes
Windows
Open up red sky
Breathe in
Smells like summer
Yeah

And the stars are out
Baby its a bad idea I know
But the stars are loud
If somebody told me there'd be nobody else but
The nights getting darker with you
My hearts getting louder with you
My minds getting dirty with you
You, you and I

And last week
You were with some chick
The same bed, barely sleeping
You didn't know
That soon you'd be next to me
Yeah
In the
Purple sky
Head on my chest
Moonlight
Light up my vintage dress
Tangled up
In your back seat
Yeah

And the stars are out
Baby its a bad idea I know
But the stars are loud
If somebody told me there'd be nobody else but
The nights getting darker with you
My hearts getting louder with you
My minds getting dirty with you
You, you and I
You and I, I I I I
You and I, I I I I
You and I, I I I I
You and I, I I I I

And the stars are out
Baby its a bad idea I know
But the stars are loud
If somebody told me there'd be nobody else but
The nights getting darker with you
My hearts getting louder with you
My minds getting dirty with you
You, you and I
You and I, I I I I
You and I, I I I I

Anjulie (born Anjulie Persaud; 1983) is a singer and songwriter from Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Anjulie is an intriguing, authentic new voice on the pop landscape, with the melodic gifts, vocal prowess and sophistication that announce her as a true original. Obsessed with music as a child, Anjulie has been singing and writing songs since she was a teen, and the years she spent honing her craft are readily apparent on her self-titled debut album for Hear Music. Co-written with her producer and collaborator Jon Levine (of Canadian R and B hit makers the Philosopher Kings), the album finds Anjulie setting intensely personal stories about her life, loves, obsessions, and heartbreaks to a dazzling genre-blending mix of pop, hip-hop, rock, and world rhythms she heard as a child growing up. Much like her contemporaries Nelly Furtado, Corrine Bailey Rae and Lily Allen, Anjulie is ready to carve out her own essential place in popular music.

Anjulie is a self-described music addict and has been writing and composing her own music since she was a teenager. She wrote the song "Say Goodbye to Jr. High", contributed background vocals and played percussion for the CD "Unfabulous and More" (2005). Her début album "Anjulie" was co-written and produced by Jon Levine of The Philosopher Kings. Read more on Last.fm.
