RAYMEI is a Japanese visual kei band that was formed in Tokyo on December 30, 2021. The current lineup includes vocalist Sera (星羅) and bassist Sou (想羽), both formerly of ALCYON, as well as drummer Junya (純弥) from ASTY (アスティ), and support guitarist ENA from ANIMA. A former member, guitarist Riyu (理結) from Marcadol (マルカドル), was part of the original lineup.
RAYMEI held their first live performance on January 28, 2022, at Ikebukuro EDGE, followed by the release of their debut single Daybreak on February 1, 2022. On March 4, 2022, Riyu was unable to perform at Tokyo Aoyama RizM due to illness, and NAOCHI from DEN-NO HIMECA (電脳ヒメカ) stepped in as a support guitarist. The band officially started their activities on March 28, 2022, with a performance at Ikebukuro BlackHole.
Their subsequent releases include the single Hyakka Ryouran (百花繚乱) on April 30, 2022, and THIRSTY・LADY (サースティ・レイディ) on July 31, 2022. Raymei embarked on their first oneman tour beginning August 28, 2022, at Nagoya HOLIDAY NEXT, concluding on September 23 at Ikebukuro BlackHole. They released the maxi-single RESURRECTION (リザレクション) on October 29, 2022, followed by additional releases such as RONCE on January 29, 2023, Kyoumei PEACE (響命ピース) on April 30, 2023, and KEKKAN JINRUI (ケッカンジンルイ) on August 27, 2023.
In 2024, they released Kokoro-byou BLACKOUT (心病ブラックアウト) on January 14. Guitarist Riyu paused activity on May 11, before officially leaving the band on June 1, 2024. They released Sayonara ANONYMOUS (サヨナラアノニマス) on May 25, 2024. Their latest release is the single HUNGRY ROMANTIC (はらぺころまんちっく), which came out on August 11, 2028. Read more on Last.fm.
