The unique urban atmosphere of Tangier is the fundamental source of inspiration for this new formation, the Tangier Cafe' Orchestra conducted by Jamal Ouassini - violinist and composer, son of this city.

The Tangier Cafe Orchestra, which takes its name from the café in the city, (Kahwa Tanja, gathering place for musicians in the 70s) is a core of eight musicians, Moroccan, Spanish and Italian from diverse music backgrounds.

Starting from the rhythms and Arabic melodies and flamenco, the ensemble develops its own style of original compositions with the use of a strictly acoustic instrumentation.

The Tangier Cafe' Orchestra's music is a fusion of music, while remaining linked to traditions, as a result of sedimentation cultural, historical look "beyond the sea", creates new sounds and rhythms enriched by dialogue with other musical languages.
