Mi von Ahn is an Swedish artist from Umeå, Sweden, who writes melancholy pop where the traditional singer-songwriter genre meets a modern escapism. Mi's accurate heavy hearted, yet cheerful, music is well influenced by her love for the deep mystical woods of northern Sweden, which makes the listener curious and longing for more.

Mi von Ahn is a singer-songwriter with her roots in the far north of Sweden. Mi creates suggestive pop with a crisp and beautiful melancholy that touches the depths. The musical experience can be likened to a rhythmic journey through dramatic landscapes where magnificent mountains alternate with tranquil lakes. The lyrics are pervaded by the down-to-earth seriousness that characterizes her person. The overall experience becomes a new format where the traditional singer-songwriter genre meets a modern escapism. Clash Magazine describes the music as "Driving, inspiring and moving ..." and draws parallels to The War On Drugs. Västerbottenskuriren writes "... hints of Fleetwood Mac and maybe also Amanda Bergman, but above all, Mi von Ahn is very much herself."

Signals is the first full-length album from Mi von Ahn. During the work several singles have been released, which at the moment have generated over 800,000 streams on Spotify. They have also been noted by, among others, Swedish radio show Musikguiden i P3 and music journalist Jan Gradvall and circulated on various Spotify playlists (Best new music, Indie highlights, Women of Indie etc). Mi also awarded the STIM scholarship in 2017 for her songwriting.

Mi about the album; "This album has been a long but important process to form my music and also for me personally. It has been a way for me to process events and express my feelings. Each song is a signal - a reaction, reflection or recognition - and with each one I want to signal and express something that I might not have done otherwise than through the music.
