Al Farabi is a blend of many musical styles played on a special combination of instruments to give a unique living sound and feeling, fused with sentimental singing of a genuine arabian voice.

in the year of 2008,Mothanna and Diya started playing music together online since each one of them was studying in a different country, Mothanna was in New Orleans and Diya was in Liverpool. They both came back home to Jeddah - Saudi Arabia after graduation, Diya established his own production studio "Libra Productions" in Jeddah. the first official demo of the song "Story Of A King" was recorded and produced in 2010 by Diya and Mothanna and it left a great impression and reviews for this project. in the year of 2011 Mothanna and Diya decided to take a step forward and work on producing more songs of the same style to record and release, and the decision of forming a band was made. Noodi Al Eid, Ghassan, Anas, Saher and Emad were chosen carefully for the high potentials and musical experience that they hold to complete the team with the help of the band's manager Thamer Farhan who came up with the band's name "Al Farabi".
