Aunt Pat is a contemporary folk influenced Americana rock band from Philadelphia made up of four siblings, Mike, Brian, Mollie, and Kerry McShane, and Mollie's husband Blake Allen. Chuck Treece helps produce and plays drums on several Aunt Pat recordings and Levon Helm makes a guest appearance on "Patoo". They released 3 full length CD's, "Aunt Pat"(1996), "Patoo"(1998), "Swim"(2000), and a remix EP of their Adult Contemporary hit "Georgia" originally recorded for "Patoo". The band has been together on and off since the release of "Aunt Pat" in 1996. Blake Allen released several solo works including the most recent "Leaning Tree" and Mike McShane released several EP's under the name "Cowmuddy" coming up in Philly folk scene along with the Amos Lee and Birdie Busch and famously hosting the open mic at The Fire on Philadelphia's Music Row.
