Shin Guard was a four piece screamo band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2016, the band released their debut EP Five Songs in 2017, followed by the single Definitely & their debut full-length Cerebral in 2018. On February 13th, 2019; they released their second full-length album 2020. Recorded, mixed, and produced by the band themselves and spanning eight songs, the album touches on politically relevant themes and features with infectious riffs that will dance around in your head long after you finished the album. Shin Guard followed up 2020 with Death of Spring, a split release with like-minded purveyors of chaos, Ohio’s metallic emoviolence outfit For Your Health. While both sides of the split are show-stoppers, Shin Guard pick up the gauntlet they threw down on 2020 and up the ante with yet more aggression and yearning determination.
