1) Ian Smale is a UK based children's worship leader and song writer who uses the name Ishmael. He has also used "Rev Counter and the Speedoze" and a couple of others.

2) Ishmael is a doom/sludge metal outfit from Plymouth, UK, formed in May 2009.
