Oveja Negra is a name shared by several artists.

1) An Argentine blues and folk band formed in 1982 by Aníbal Forcada, Osqui Amante, and Willie Campins.

They were part of a wave of new groups that emerged with the return to democracy—after the last civil-military dictatorship (1976-1983). All three musicians had previous careers.

Live, the trio included Gringui Herrera (on electric guitar) and Fernando Marrone (on drums).

They began performing in 1982 on the pub circuit in and around Buenos Aires. In early 1983, they performed at the La Falda Festival.

That year, musicians who had previously made acoustic folk music—such as León Gieco, Nito Mestre y Los Desconocidos de Siempre, Pastoral, Miguel Cantilo, and Gustavo Santaolalla—were trying to shift toward new wave or heavier rock.

During the winter of 1983, they recorded their first album, Orsai, which was presented at the Obras Sanitarias stadium on September 3, 1983.

They toured Australia with León Gieco's band.

At that time, Daniel Grinbank was their producer.

In 1984, in addition to numerous performances on stages across the country, they played as Nito Mestre's support group at the Vélez Sársfield stadium. In November 1984, they participated in the show Por Qué Cantamos (Why We Cantamos), alongside Celeste Carballo, Nito Mestre, and Juan Carlos Baglietto. They went on a national tour with these musicians, culminating in a three-show concert at the Teatro Coliseo (in Buenos Aires), which was recorded live and released as a double album in late 1984.

In early 1985, due to contractual issues with their producer and the impossibility of recording a new album, the band disbanded. Each musician continued their independent musical careers.

In 1990, they were invited by Mercedes Sosa to participate in an important three-show concert at the Gran Rex Theater (in Buenos Aires). These performances were recorded and generated the live album De mí, which features the vocals of all three Oveja Negra members on three songs.

In 2008, the same three musicians began meeting with the idea of making music together again for the simple pleasure of playing. Little by little, new songs began to emerge, and they began recording them with the contribution of numerous guest musicians, including their own children:

Tomás Amante: electric guitar and vocals
Lucía Campins: backing vocals
Manuel Campins: electric and acoustic guitar
Julián Forcada—son of Aníbal Forcada (who works as León Gieco's bassist)—electric bass and vocals
Ana Quatraro: backing vocals
Uriel Tordó: drums and percussion

2) A Ska-Punk band from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Their music is classified as libertarian ska punk due to the anarchist lyrical content and the band's self-managed approach to DIY.

They are considered one of the pioneering bands in the Guadalajara ska-punk scene, along with Inadapta2, No tiene la vaca, rockelvice, and others. They were known for their involvement in the anarcho-punk movement in their early years, alternating with hardcore-punk and punk-rock bands from their local area and other states, where they recorded with self-managed labels such as Akracia Records, Estajanovismo Records, and Con Mi Mama Me Mima Radio.
