Slum Science consists of three long term friends from Huddersfield, UK, Danny White, Eddie Leader and Dan Ruck.

Danny and Eddie first crossed paths in the early 90’s where it came to light that they shared interests in staying up all night playing FIFA on the Nintendo and also listening to underground house music. They started to use the transpennine express on a regular basis to visit Leeds clubs such as Back to Basics and Hard Times, where they would bounce around to the sounds of DJs such as Ralph Lawson, DJ Sneak, and Todd Terry. They crossed paths with fellow slumster Dan Ruck head nodding into the early hours, the common ground the trio shared was deep n jackin' underground house music.

The more local haunts of sunny Huddersfield in the form of the legendary Ruckus Rooms, the sublime Spinks Nest Pub, and them underground vibes of Birkby proved too much to resist and so Slum Science was formed.

Slum Science have been layin down beats ever since and making their sound their own, whilst DJing on 4 decks at underground venues up and down the UK.

Their first release, the G’s Delight ep on Resident Records received support from Chicago’s Justin Long and DJ Heather amongst others. The Slumsters next few releases were on Belgium's Deep Future, Andrew Macari’s Greenhouse and Luke Sardello’s Icon, and so Slum Science music continued to receive support from heads like Mark Farina and Derrick Carter.
