Canadian-born Israeli singer-songwriter Yehuda Ledgley (b. circa 1974 -allegedly, but there is controversy as to the exact year of his birth in some circles of his cult following abroad where some insist that he was born in numerous other years ranging from 1969-1972), is part of the underground indie scene of Jerusalem. He has released two albums – the debut “A view from here”, an invaluable and rare collectible, in which his psychedelic folk groove captures the imagination and his strikingly honest words are inspirational soul-food, and in 2005 came out with the ingenious folk rock sound-bazaar “The Quiz” in a collaboration with Ellie Brickman who’s responsible for the backing vocals.
Ledgley cites as some of his influences Elliott Smith, John Lennon, Nick Drake and Ozzy Osborne.
