Star Cassette is a synthawave / dreampop band based in Stockholm.
The music genre is synthwave / retro wave / dream pop and is best described as 80s-influenced synthpop with big drums, synths and vocals. You will recognize the nostalgic and retro feeling from 80s movies and TV shows such as "Back To The Future", "Blade Runner", "Miami Vice", etc.

In September 2018, the first single "Summer Nights" was released, followed by "Neons" in January the following year. In October 2019, a year after the bands first release, the song "Malibu" was released along with the band's first music video.

In the spring of 2019, they were contacted by a marketing company working on the campaign for Stranger Things season 3. They asked for a custom song to be used for the Stranger Things Nordic campaign. The song "Strangers", inspired by Stranger Things season 2, was released in August 2019 and quickly gained a lot of interest. Read more on Last.fm.
