Born in Mutare ,Zimbabwe on March 27 ,1979.MandaBrat grew up listening to soul ,R'n'B, hip hop and house .He credits producers such as Franky Knuckles ,P Diddy ,Dr Dre as his early influences .An avid fan and listener of many music genres Mandabrat's style of music is influences by elements of many forms of music and not limited to deep house ..

After relocating to South Africa in 2001 ,MandaBrat got introduced to the booming house scene in that country and he developed a keen interest in the production of house music.He now credits some of his inspiration and influences on local producers such as Black Coffee,Ralf Gum ,Oskido,Chymamusique,DaCapo and veteran djs such as Glen Lewis,Vinny DaVinci,Fresh and Christos .Internationally the styles of Vic Lavender,Satin Jackets ,Arthur White ,Nora En Pure,Sons of Maria,Eddie LeFunk ,also inspire him .
