The Cardinal Effect Hails from Raleigh NC. It's quite simple, their sound is a refreshing soundscape of driving, yet beautifully brutal musical compositions, with compassionate vocals and a live show to back it up. In a nutshell, this band provides an energetic, real live show with powerpoints ranging from emotionally gut-wrenching breakdowns, to beautiful melodic chorus's that never fail to leave an audience with complete exhilaration. This unit began four years ago when vocalist, Jonathan Parker, and guitarist, Chris Webb, began playing and writing songs for fun. Soon they formed a melodic metal band and began playing small shows with the name Stuckshot. The band formerly known as Stuckshot was an opening act throughout the scene for approximately six months before promoters and club owners started noticing that their audience was beginning to be beyond the bands that they were supporting. From there on out, they were a headliner, and also known as the biggest drawing Raleigh band in their genre. Later they would revise the lineup and become what is now The Cardinal Effect. The Cardinal Effect have toured throughout the east coast, and have been honored with shows along side many national and regional artists such as Swift, Far-Less, School For Heroes, Cold, Superjoint Ritual, Minus Driver, and Headstrong to name a few, obtaining a loyal following. Now with a refreshed image, sound, title, and the most promising crowd- draws among regional artists in their area, they have teamed up with Tribunal Records for the release of their debut full length record.
